Cold pressed juices are all the rage. You‘ll find them taking up premium shelf space in coffee shops, delis and your local supermarket. Perhaps a closer look is needed at this cold-pressed juices trend, considering how hyped this trendy lifestyle habit is. Not to mention how expensive it is! How is it different from juicing and smoothies? Is there any truth to their higher-nutrition claims or is it just another hipster fad? Perhaps this whole thing is nothing but a smart marketing stunt touting its ‘healthy’ quotient. And it can be especially dangerous for people who go on juice fasts and smoothie cleanses, and end up taking in a lot of refined sugar with none of the fibre.
